Does it matter what race he or she is. As long as they can do the job.

I would distrust the person in the position because I honestly don't believe they will ever have a black president in my lifetime..I am 29. They would probably put somebody that is an "uncle tom" in there like that idiot Alan Keyes or Rice who has plenty of oil friends and I'm a white woman. I wouldn't want Sharpton either though. Who in hell needs someone like that. There will definitely be a white woman president before there will be a black anybody president. I'm not saying some could do the job. Just a reality, sorry.

Sure why not.

What about a Black American WOMAN as President!

Condoleezza Rice with Colin Powell as VP!

If the candidate I like the most happens to be black, it wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference to me.

However, I will not vote for a minority or female candidate merely because they are a minority or female. Some people want to see a woman in office, so they'll vote for Hilary Clinton. I think it'd be great to have a woman president, but I will never vote for Hilary Clinton.

I think the only possible black president for the near future would have to be Colin Powell and he's probably not going to run.

a bad idea in these times..and Ill tell you why.

if hes a good President..he wont act black..hell act like a human being..and set his race against him.

If hes a bad President..hell take his race back 50 years because of it.
Its a No-Win situation for him.

NOT a good idea right now..maybe in 100 or so years..when folks change their hearts and grow up a little bit more.

I would vote for Collin Powell over any and all other candidates that might run at this time. I feel he is the most qualified person available. His color is not an issue for me. In fact it, in my mind, could be to his advantage. He is, with out a doubt, very intelligent and respected all over the world.

I think it would be ok. I dont see why not. but unfortunitly in today's world its probably not gonna happen anytime soon because there are still to many racist people out there.
