The bus can move many passengers at once and hence the rate of people going from place A to place B is higher(faster) by the bus than by the small car. For example, if the bus can carry 30 passengers and the car can carry 5 passengers, then the bus is (100*30)/(120*5)=5 times faster than the car!

its not possible that an object however small, moving at 120km/hr is slower than that moving at 100km/hr- the car vs the bus, just as 100kg of feathers is no lighter than 100kg of iron. The only possible thing here is that, if this two collided on to an object- there would be greater damage done by the bus than the car, because of weight factor.

If you take the speed example out of the question it answers itself. Why is a bus moving / / faster than a small car moving at a higher speed? Because the bus driver is driving faster than the car driver of course!!

120km/hr is always faster than 100km/hr, but...
If the time of the bus is travelling much faster than the car's time (If that is somehow possible), then the bus will be faster than the car.

The impression of the bus being faster is basically 'coz of its higher momentum. As we know, momentum=mass X velocity, the bus has a much higher momentum mainly 'coz of its higher mass. This gives the impression that the bus is at a higher speed.

It isn't, the vehicle tavelling at 120 will always be faster than the vehicle travelling at 100, whether it's a car, bus or a kangaroo on rollerskates.
The whole point is, the vehicle travelling at 120 kilometres per hour, will cover twenty more kilometres in one hour that the vehicle travelling at one hundred kilometres per hour.

The bus could be moving in the correct direction and the car in the reverse direction thereby the bus will reach the correct destination first.
