well, many christians like to comment on how bad homosexuality is and its a sin, so why do they keep coming into this forum? its not like they can save us. i know many christians are also gay, or gay friendly too. im not that narrow minded!

At first I thought it was very strange...but after a while it seems to me that we need them here.

I have learned a great deal about Christians and their thoughts about the issue. Most of them seem to want to 'save' gay people, which I find absolutely astonishing considering they know nothing about it except what's in the bible....and even that information is sketchy at best.

I'm intrigued by the fact that most of these "loving Christians" who supposedly have only pure thoughts, become so enraged over someone else's sex habits. As soon as the word "homosexual" or "gay" enters the conversation, they immediately think of the 'sex act' and gross themselves out.
That, plain and simple, proves that they have "DIRTY" minds...therefore IMPURE thoughts.

We need them here in the forum TO LEARN HOW NOT TO BE.

You clearly are concerned with the trolls and snipers that often blow through here for whatever reasons there are in their tiny little minds.

Sure, many bible thumpers have issues, and many come here to push their whatever. They can be rather tiresome, and I often reflect on their lack of originality in posting like they do.

That's not to say all Christians or members of other religions do that.

And, you know, I've yet to see a Wiccan do that. :)

When a troll or a sniper posts, it's usually obvious, and the best thing to do is ignore it -- unless they violate guidelines, then you may report them. I do, here or anywhere. I don't abide hate-mongers and all their ilk.

You may also look at any poster's questions and answers and see if they're regulars, just passing through, or trolling or sniping. I've noticed some in just a few days of participating in YA. (I joined last week.)

Overall, this is a good site and I like it. Like everywhere else, there are weeds. Just move on to the roses, and remember, a little dung makes the roses smell all the better. LOL.

What does being a Christian have to do with "frequenting this web site?" Christians would be great at answering many of the questions. I am wondering why that is an issue with you. It sounds that perhaps you are disgruntled with someone in your life who is a Christian, or a Christian has told you it's inappropriate behavior for a Christian to participate in this forum. There are as many ideas about Chrisianity as there are people and there is no right or wrong answer about who "should participate in this." When we try to compartmentalize groups of peoples' shoulds and shouldn'ts, we are taking on a huge insurmountable task. It also sounds like it makes you uncomfortable with Christian answers. You have control over what things unnerve you, so don't let it bother you. Focus on things you can control and know that there is no answer for your question because of all our differences.

I'm a Christian and you don't get to talk about many of these subjects in an all Christian social circle, so it's very interesting. I think it's odd you'd ask such an odd question. Most ppl who aren't Christians think Christians are small or narrow minded and only want to shove Jesus down their throats, yet when a Christian actually takes interest and wants to know and learn more, you think it's odd.

Maybe both sides could come together if the non-Christian side wasn't so narrow-minded.

I think it's interesting that you would say that, as if you perceive that homosexuality is not appropriate for Christians.
Anyway, I was looking in Religious topics and this showed up on the screen, so I checked it out. After all, Christians have to address the topic of homosexuality just like everyone else in society.

Which topic do you mean? I find it strange that Yahoo! would lump so many topics together that are unrelated in the eyes of believers. Maybe that is a round about way to give us a follow to reach out and share the Word of God with those who are in need. Jesus, your command is being answered by a few and to the unsuspecting. I am here and I did not punch up this topic, I asked for religion and spirituality. I was led to answer and I am glad I did. God bless you. Happy 4th of July to everyone.

I don't. Most Christians are very repressed about sex. I don't mean everybody who comes here is gay (I am not, as a matter of fact). But probably Christians are curious about what goes on here. And others think it's their duty to convert gays into what they'd call "normal people". So, no. I think it's perfectly logical to see so many Christians here.

I think it is right to be curious, as I'm sure some those Christians are. However you need to be honest as well. Some Christians might believe they are on some sort of Evangelical mission to 'de-gay' the world, others might have a more hidden agenda. Either way who are we to judge lest we get judged ourselves?

LOL.
Christians are everywhere!
If you are uncomfortable with our cyber presence, then you will not be very comfortable in Heaven!
Guilt feelings usually are a precursor to becoming a Christian!
Lighten up, we are just ordinary people except we are already dead.
ps. I just need to know how to add my avitar face. I am not a ghost.

Mostly, they're just trying to spread God's Word among the "sinners".

Of course there are a few - less than Christian - Christians, who are simply interested in espousing hate.

Imagine the fanfare if they ever succeeded in getting one of us to "turn" straight!
