How do you meet people? You talk to them, obviously this person finds you attractive if he is flirting with you. I mean in a funny witty, good sort of way. Flirting is away of men meeting women, finding out if they can get a date with them. Men don't flirt with people they consider ugly, so it is a compliment on his part.
If you are not feeling this politely tell the guy thanks, I have a boyfriend, I am a lesbian, I am not interested, please don't bother me or what ever you want to say, be polite he is really putting it out there. Perhaps one of your girlfriends would be interested, get his telephone number for her. If he persist tell him you are going to call the police and again remain in a public place.
This person should stay a certain distance from you, but within range of where both of you can speak without yelling. He should also not be using foul or abusive language. If this is happening this is not flirting and should he be told to leave. I would not go around slapping anyone this is an assault on your part even though you might not like what the person is saying. He can have you arrested, if there are any medical expenses you will be liable to pay for them. If he persist call the police and let them handle the situation. You should also stay in a visible place so others can see you.

if your interested give him a chance! It takes a lot for a guy to walk up a female walking down the street and flirt with her. If he was disrespectful with what he said then he was joking around doing it for a laugh, but if he told you that you look nice or something like that, he really thought you looked good wanted to talk to you!

It depends on his approach. If he is crude or offends you, than say so and walk away. If he is sweet and just trying to meet a pretty girl... why slap him down for it. If you are interested, respond... if you are not, simply smile and tell him you appreciate it, but you need to go now.
Guys have it tough, but that doesn't excuse you ever feeling uncomfortable. So, each approach is different and may deserve a different response.

If he is looks like someone you would rather not get acquainted with just ignore him and move on. If he is insistent tell him to "Buzz off". But if he looks like you might possibly enjoy his company strike up a conversation and agree have coffee or agree to meet later. It is rude to be rude to anyone who is not rude. I met some very nice girls that way in my singlehood. One does not have to be a "creep" to want and enjoy the company of the opposite sex.

Well, I don't know about you, but I don't try to pick someone up off the street. I'd consider it rude, like catcalling from construction workers.

well it matters if he seems like a perv or somethin or just if he really wants to talk 2 u.U should b able 2 tell the differance and then u can decide if u wanna tell him or not.If u dont wanna tell him or talk to him just say u have to go or u dont have any thime for conversing

Go with your gut instinct, it's usually right. If it feels treatening, ignore and leave, if it's friendly and you feel like you are in a safe area i.e. people around, then chat up, never know who you'll meet.
