I have been trying for THREE weeks to connect with someone who loves the same obscure book that I do, on Amazon.com
No email address, only a link to "Invite as Amazon Friend" but that link doesn't work for me (they keep saying they'll fix it, but haven't). Been trying to find her another way, I know her name and her husband's name and that they live on West Coast, possibly Oregon, but that's about it. None of the peoplefinder services seem to be working and an old email on her one page website doesn't work either. And yet she's active on Amazon; posted something in the same 3 week period I've been trying to connnect. Whew, I am out of ideas...anyone have some new ones?? I'd give you more than the ten points if it was within my power. She thinks the author only wrote the one book; I'm dying to share with her that he also wrote plays!

The people finder I like is veromi.com but you would have to pay to get the full information if the person is listed. If her personal webpage has a domain (not one with a ~ in the name or a blog), you can try a whois database search on the website name and see if they have a mailing or up to date e-mail address (http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx?prog_id=godaddy). You can also do a search on google for her name, in quotes, and see if there is another link with her e-mail listed.

It's a free search engine initially, and might get you an address; did get me the full address for person I was searching for for free...
although for the detailed records (ie phone number) you end up paying www.intelius.com (not sure why all roads seem to lead to that website eventually!).
