Miami University, by far.
(Oxford, Ohio, about 30 miles from Cincinnati.)

(The fact that the University of Cincinnati just raised its admission standards should tell you that its standards were on the low side to begin with. Miami, on the other hand, has always been a selective state university.)

The University of Cincinnati probably has the best academics in the Cincinnati area. They have several nationally ranked programs such as DAAP, CCM, Engineering, Medicine, etc. The school also places a high value on research. It is one of the biggest schools in the area and thus has the most money. It has a greater selection of majors with hundreds to choose from. In addition to its academics,

UC is also well known for its athletic programs. The campus is now finishing up a lengthy construction phase where several new buildings have been constructed and others renovated. The newly built recreation center is a state-of-the-art center and includes a pool, lazy river, climbing wall, suspended track, etc.

UC is also well respected for its Cincinnatus Scholarship Program and other financial aid incentives which gives out millions in scholarships each year. Just recently UC changed its admission standards to include higher standards and attract top notch students.
