Ipod nano (Apple) has 3 models... 1GB, 2GB & 4 GB..
1GB - 240 Songs
2GB - 500 Songs
4GB - 1000 Songs

I think it depends on either the size of the memory in the ipod or the amount of memory the song takes up b/c Ive seen a couple of ipods in the store with different memory capacity.

well, I had a iPod Nano with 4 gigs, but they just round up to the nearest gig, so technically I only had 3.7, which still held 800+... I had 807, before I left it in my pocket and washed it. But killing your iPod with water isn't that uncommon so It's not as stupid as it sounds ;)

depends on if it's a 2gb or 1 gb mine is 2 it holds just about 500 songs
