Italy is no doubt the best team. They have the best defence and goalie in the world. So coming July 9th their gonna win the world cup.

They are the best, but won't be considered that by the crybabies out there. Yes they had poor performances against the U.S. and Australia. Big deal they had a couple of off games. They still rocked the rest of the time and in qualifiers for the cup too.
Sasan, you and I kept the faith through this whole cup and we've been rewarded thus far. This despite the Brazil/German fans volleying insults, now we have the last laugh regardless what happens Sunday. They knew full well we have a good squad and have to point out stupid things to validate their points that we shouldn't be in the top ranks. Apparently the fact the only goal against them throughout the tournament was an Italian scoring on his own net means nothing to them.
Every single world cup it's the same - Brazil Brazil Brazil....... If that we true and they are so incredible, then they honestly should have won 10 world cups in a row by now. The same team that was scored on by the Japanese.
A France/Italy game has the makings of a classic. I believe the Azzuri will prevail.

I admit I dont follow soccer much. But Italy winning could be bad. They are in a horrid scandel right now and if your FIFA, you dont really want a team like that to win. So I know I'm not actually answering the question, but I think that is important. As far as them being considered the best, I still would say Brazil even though they lost, the best doesn't win everytime.

Italy is ONE OF THE BEST, not THE BEST. Also look out for Portugal because of their coach Scolari who already has one World Cup (with Brazil) under his cap. Also, as people expect Italy to win, they will be under pressure while Portugal being underdogs, have no pressure on them.

They are not going to win. Portugal is going to win. There is no point discussing this because it is only going to lead to your disappointment. Jump on the Portugese band wagon ....follow a good and deserving team.
