Why do pseudoliberals' idea of tolerance only cover bad things and not good things?

How could someone be offended by religion but be totally ok with crime, violence, porn, promiscuity and racism? Pseudos claim not to be racist and intolerant but they really are, and when it comes to their vision of "tolerance", they don't know where to draw the line. There's things you should tolerate (different cultures, races, religions etc) and then there's things you obviously shouldn't (immoral things). And pseudos seem to only tolerate the bad things. Their code words for immorality are "freedom" and "liberation". Their code word for racism and patronizing minorities is "political correctness". They have this false idea that it's ok to do bad things that only hurt yourself as long as they don't hurt other people, but the truth is, things that appear to only hurt yourself also indirectly harm other people-there's such a thing as external costs. Pseudolib is still very prevalent in our society whether people admit it or not, and it's turned our country into 1984/Brave New World.

Truth, I hate that guy. Did you read my answer to him? There's jerky conservatives too obviously. And I said "psuedoliberals". But I'm not a conservative, wanting to fix moral decay in our country wouldn't make me conservative, it would make me progressive.

And racism is NOT a Christian virtue, as you can see, that guy's not a real Christian.

I certainly wasn't applying that to all liberals. And I didn't even say liberal. I said PSUEDOliberal, because obviously they are not real liberals, they are no less narrow than the other extreme.

You know, maybe they are on the learning curve.

When I started out as a liberal, I believed liberal expression included 'free love' and the right to 'mind expansion', if you know what I mean.

And I have found religions, such as Indian and Buddhist Tantra that utilize sex as a method for achieving spirituality. Though Western religions find this immoral, Eastern religions do not.

But that aside, I learned later that liberalism is much more than freedom to associate with my senses as I pleased.

So maybe these pseudo liberals are on their own learning curve, starting with some basic rebellions, of course counter-reacting to pseudo conservatives who are experiencing their own learning curve.

Hard to say, but you make an astute and insightful observertion.

If you've actually ever read 1984 you would know that cautionary tale is as far removed from anything resembling Liberal beliefs that you would be embarrassed by your own connection.

The world we live in now and the direction we a heading with our government spying on everyone is very recent, a trend that has started and gained great powers under the Bush administration.

As to your rant against Liberals in general, I suggest you stop stereotyping, start thinking for yourself actually go out and meet and talk to some of these you are so off-Handel condemning.

I work with Vets every day and my experience has been that one out of three Vets tend to hold so-called 'Liberal' views and of these none sound like the stereotypes you rant about.

Think about it.

(Also: I'm not a Liberal. I'm not even a Democrat. And the novel 'Brave New World' doesn't apply to the Liberal concept either. Please educate yourself a little more.)
