Rabbits are tearing apart my sweet corn and green beans. I'm looking for a non-pesticide method for keeping them out of the garden.

I have been putting rubber snakes in my garden the past 5 years and the rabbits have stayed away. You will have to replace a few each year because the birds think they are a tasty snack (I have found one on the roof of my house) until they realize it isn't real and drop it wherever. It has worked for me.

Tarisaline

P.S. if you have tomato worms, powder your plants with corn starch. It suffocates them and it works well.

Fencing is you best method, however it can be expensive, the next best thing is the urine products and home and garden stores, however depending on the type and region you live in it can be expensive also, and it will wash away with rain or watering. I have had the best luck using Ivory soap. I take a carrot peeler and sprinkle shavings around the area. The rabbits tend to stay away and it won't harm them or your plants. It is also very cheap!!!

Try moth balls (not moth crystals). They work for cats and dogs, usually. Also, you could install an electric fence. Wires she be low enough that rabbits will come in contact with them. My elec.
fence works very well for moose. I solved the rabbit problem by
installing 2 ft. high metal fecing with 2 inch squares. I grow my veg. garden in raised beds so just nailing the fencing to sides of the beds was simple. Good luck!!!Excuse the typos, please.

I had a neighbor who had a garden with a fence. Outside of his fenced property was a lot of undeveloped land. He finally planted a small garden on the other side of his fence just for the rabbits.

Good strong fencing is probably your best bet. You might try to find carnivore urine (like coyote), it's sold in garden stores sometimes. The smell of it frightens the rabbits, but if they're hungry enough, they'll just ignore it.

Sprinkle some cheap cologne around your garden... Old Spice works great , but anything should work. Just something that smells like a human should be enough to keep them out. If not, then...try a pellet gun.

They make a repellent, and some kind of pee stuff makes them think a coyote or something lives in your garden lol. How about a little fence?

Check out this website: http://mdc.mo.gov/nathis/woodwork/ww10/

It has detailed instructions for making homemade rabbit gums. You can trap the darling critters without hurting them and turn them loose in a park for children to enjoy.

All these sound like good answers. I've used a product called dried blood that you put down around your plants. I've had success with it around tomatoes. The problem is you have to reapply every time it rains.

Coyote urine crystals. Crystals last longer than the liquid. And this is cheaper than buying the live traps.
