Are you a Programmer? if you, then write a software program to do this unthinkable thing. And if you can, plz send me that.
Just a joke, but if you download this file using download accelarator plus, then if you can back up the state of this software and also copy the ".dap" file what it must create when it starts downloading (must of 1 GB), then after reinstall Windows, you can restore that state and copy this dap file at its destination. I am not sure about it, but you can try. If you not format you disk then everything can possible.

Why you want to reinstall Windows when you are downloading, it is better you download the file, save it to a CD/DVD and then do what ever you want with your Windows.. it is simple ..!!
If you want to reinstall Windows, the disk is formatted and you will not recover any data on the hard disk.

yes this is totaly possible
you are just re-enstalling the program that is already there so you should not have any problems.
in less of course you are formatting and then installing but that would just be stupid.
if you are still unsure or dont want to trust someone over a net program then contact a computer shop and ask to speak to a technition.
but i am almost certain that you can do what you want to.

Nope... there would be no way for your system to recall where it halted the download after the reinstall of the OS.
