Let X = your current age.

therefore:

. 4x + (2x - 5) = 55
. 6x - 5 = 55

Take 5 the other side of the (=) sign

. 6x = 60
Divide by 6 on both sides

. x = 10

therefore, you're 10 years old.

let the age be'x'
then 4 times the age is so, 4x
& 5 less than twice your age is 2x-5
now 4 times the age increased by 5 less than twice ur age
is 4x+2x-5=55
then 6x=50
there fore x=10
hope this is right if the assumption of the question is right
