Idea of paradise is not shared from place to place and person to person. You arm yourself to prevent the loss of your pursuit of paradise.

How do you expect the Muslims and the Jews to get along when they are fighting over a peace of land. There is never going to be a "paradise" in our lifetime. Without stability in the Middle East and Kim Jong Il in North Korea there is always the chance that our "paradise" will be destroyed. Lets spend our money on getting rid of them before we spend our money on creating this so called "paradise"
