Hi,
I was disrespected (humiliated)by my boss at work and don't know whether to continue working there or not. I just feel that people can talk to you normally if they need something done. Am I going overboard by considering to quit?

First of all, dear, I'm sorry you went through that. I wouldn't quit(that's what the sorry S.O.B wants you to do!) until I secured other means of employment. If he or she did this to you, it's possible that it's happened to others as well. Also, you can file a grievance at your place of employment and take it as far as you can go. No one deserves to be disrespected at their job. Most of us work hard for a living to take care of ourselves and families. You are not going overboard, but update your resume and on your days off, start pounding the pavement for a new gig. Good luck to you, darlin', and keep the faith. It'll get better, so make it happen. The only person you can change is yourself..not your boss or anyone on your job. Be good!

When the boss humiliates an employee, it is very inappropriate, and unprofessional. Not to mention disrespectful. There could be any number of reasons why you should or should not quit. Are you a threat to his or her position? If a boss feels like you could take his or her place because you are better than they are, this may be the reason they deliberately tried to humiliate you. In that case, I wouldn't quit, I'd strive for their job. If you don't think you are in line for a promotion like that, then I would definately be gone after finding another job. They will miss you when you're gone, but you won't miss them. You'll be in a work place that has more professionals than jerks.

Wishing the best for you!

Quit. Prove to your boss that you will stay alive without his employment. Do something that can give you full satisfaction. I will suggest you to have the internet business, which requires less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing, or which require IT knowledge. Second, choose the internet based company which offer you the opportunity and at the same time giving you the convenience to start the business. Third, choose the business, which does not require big money to start it.

All the above is only available from: http://www.website.ws/powercontrol
Honestly, I tried so many opportunities offered through the internet and this is the only one that really works.

Absolutley Not!!! Do not quit your job until you have another one. In the meantime, let his supervisor know how he has treated you. I would send in a letter to anyone above him. there is always a contact sheet with higher ups phone #'s.
I have had 3 managers fired for their behavior. It is tough enough to find a decent job but to have someone disrespect you and treat you unfairly. That is just his way of saying what he lacks as a person. He should not be in his position. Not cool at all.
What ever you do find another job first and let higher ups know about his behavior. Then if you feel like you need to come back after a month to remind him of what he lost... Rub in the fact that you found something better.
Just teasing but hey if it makes you feel better.:)

Being humiliated at work is not acceptable under any circumstances. You need to talk with management and see what can be resolved at that level. If nothing can be accomplished there, then you have the smarts to consider leaving the company and moving on to greener pastures.

There are countless aspects the following that style of blur mutually. Gossip interior the workplace is undesirable. that is undesirable employer, undesirable for morale, in simple terms undesirable. So managers shouldn't motivate it a lot less take area in it. so as that they were incorrect on that factor. they're doubly incorrect encouraging gossip out of an employment situation. the subsequent element is what the guy stated to you. i assume I might want to ask when you're gay and he become issuing a slur, or become he in simple terms making jealous statement on your sharp fashion designer cloth wardrobe? ;) If he become in simple terms being a horse's patoot, i visit work out the quizzical, "did you already know what Tim in simple terms called me?" that would grow to be a source of chatter. on the different hand, if he become being own, you ought to have made issues slightly extra formal the position the favor for worker confidentiality will be slightly extra obtrusive to the denser managers. No, you *shouldn't* might want to assert "do not say something" to any manager, that is only a count of direction. It become unprofessional. not addressing this with the perp and taking proper action is unprofessional. i'd say perhaps they did and that is inner most, yet that seems outside the scope of their expertise. i do not understand what you're searching for except confirmation, yet you're accurate. It become dealt with badly. "Tim" should be suspended or terminated.

No, i definitely won't continue to work. It's just not worth it. I had a job that made me do their family stuff (ie. do their kids' homework!), and I would just come home all stressed and end up crying. I'd rather me unemployed for a little while than continue working at a place where they treat you like crap.

You know, if you love your work and you know you're best in it, do not personalize what your boss did to you. It's just part of the job and it's part of the compensation you get from them. Just try to do your best and prove to your boss that he/she is wrong in humiliating you.

Get 'em back. Well, depending on how they humiliated you, I'd get them back with something. Make them a public display of mockery. Or, just quit, whichever's easier for you...
