Say a mad magician is holding you at wand point. He's going to turn you into something. Your consolation is you get to pick what. Of all the mystical creatures (unicorns, faeries, vampires, zombies, were animals of any kind, etc.) What would you be? Why? What are the benefits and the disadvantages?

I'd be a wereleopard. You get to be a massive cat-person thing 1 day a month. Instead of eating people, living forever and howling at the moon, I'd scratch the furniture, curl up on the bed, sleep and shed.

I'd like to be a white Pegasus. To be able to soar through the clouds and run with the air blowing through my mane. I could give kids rides. And yes, the downfall would be that I'd either get caught by man and sold to slavery or locked up or even killed. But the moment in that form would be worth it.

first thing that came to mind would be unicorn. they rock! the horn, all white, purest form of a horse, plus magical powers!!
disadvantages...everyone is hunting me cause i'm so special and powerful. and i would like to fly as well..but horses are land creatures. sigh.

so then my second choice would be a thestral. its those black horses in the harry potter books. they are like a pegasus except they are black. so i would have the flying but not so pure and happy as a pegasus.
disadvantages is ppl can only see me if they've seen someone die, and i'm attracted to blood. kind of creepy.

and third choice..it's hard to choose! i would be a mermaid. love the ocean and i feel like i was fish in another life! so that would be a perfect mix. still could be part human so don't die off as quickly. and swimming would be crazy cause you'd be so much faster and know all the hidden spots.
disadvantage is i live in the ocean. and if its contaminated..well the whole place is cause of currents and stuff. at little logical answer i know but can't think of a disadvantage!

Does an elf count? Elves are really smart and know a lot about nature. They are also very graceful and put humans to shame. However, being immortal and losing everyone you care about would be tough.
My second choice is a mermaid. The ocean is awesome and I love to swim. I just wouldn't like the dangerous creatures, like sharks and jellyfish.

A fairy with flowing clothes and a wand speading sparkles of happiness, peace and tranquility all over the world...if only this could be true....too many innocent people on both sides of the warring factions being killed including our own military personnel....I'm sensitive on this issue waiting for someone to come home safely!!!!

Unicorn ----
Advantages = beauty, gentleness, integrity, grace
Disadvantages = sought after for 'life extending' elixir contained in blood

Blue Fairy (Pinocchio) --- don't ya know?
Gotta put her in here - after all, she did assign me to be the 'conscience' for my bud - Pinoke . . . and we did share some really awesome adventures . . . while he was still just a wooden headed puppet
