I've read it. It's about child abuse and incest. It's a gripping story, but utterly depressing.

flowers in the attic is a great book. it's about a mother who moves her 3 children into her rich mothers house. only the grandmother don't like the children cuz the are product of an incest. so she beats them and locks them in there and forces the mother to marry another man. all well doing this the mother is getting wipped for what she has done in the past. the grandmother also feeds the children rat poison to kill them off. only she don't succeed in the issue. the grandfather is sick the whole time and doesn't have any clue that he has grandchildren. well i won't give it all away i do have to say that the book does more justice then the movie. but both are very good.

Oh, Yes, years ago. A woman's husband dies and she has 4 children (Chris, oldest boy/ Cathy, oldest girl/ Carrie and Cory young twins). She must return to her ancestral home she has been estranged from because she is broke. She hides her children in the Attic of this huge home until she can prepare herself to tell her father. I'll let you read the rest, dont wanna spoil it for ya. Its a great book by VC Andrews, and there are, I believe, 4 or 5 other books that follow. Its been awhile since I read them, but its a great series. Enjoy!

I've read it and seen the movie. It's about a woman that weds and then has chidren of her uncle. Her mother and father disown her. When she becomes a widow she returns home, since she is broke and wants her parents help. The only condition, unbeknownst to her children is that the children be given over to her mother to be "taken care of" namely killed. She poisons the little ones with cookies laced with poison. But at the end the older two children at least in the movie (I can't quite remember the end of the book) take off together, there is some inuendo that they two are "together" as their mother and her uncle were, eewww.

Not only have I read it several times but I have also watched the movie. (don't waste your time though....the book is much better) It's about this woman who is married and has 4 children. An older daughter and son and a younger set of twins. Their daddy dies so she moves in with her rich mother who feels she has shamed the family. (interesting reason why but I wont spoil it for you) Anyhow...the evil mom/grandma says they can stay but the children have to live in the attic and can't come out. Again...I don't want to spoil it for you so I'll end there. The author is V.C. Andrews...just incase you want to check it out. :)

The four beautiful Dollanganger children are locked in a mansion attic to keep them hidden from their fundamentalist grandfather, who would disinherit their mother if he learns of their existence. The mother, who cares more for money than her children, soon grows murderous.

yes i have read it but it ws years ago. it is basically about a mother who tries to hide the fact that she has children from her own mother so decides to hide them in the attic and as the time goes by she tries to poison them so basically they will no longer be a burden on her - good book but a little disturbing
