Affair
I've been both.
Affair (now current hubby) and I used to go out once a week to eat and sometimes we would go on dates to WalMart and have such a blast, no kids (can't get kids involved). Great sex, never turned each other down because sleep sounded better. Excitement.
Wife: Kids - mine, his and ours and we got custody of all of them! So there is never going out to eat time, Wal Mart is the most stressful place on earth and right now we can't fit all of us in the vehicle we have so we can never go out as a family. Yelling and lots of it. Sex - Yuck who needs it anyways when you can just go to sleep. MONEY - that was the big thing final straw that pushed us to turn into official couple-hood (his ex would spend all his at the bar every night, so I was supporting him anyways) - huh who would have thought the old saying was true the more you have the more you spend...

"wife" is stable, safe, secure, and has benefits. "Affair" is unstable, unsafe, insecure, and has benefits. I'd take both.
Rule 1: It's important to find a man who works around the house, occasionally cooks and cleans and has a job.
Rule 2: It's important to find a man who makes you laugh and you can have fun with.
Rule 3: It's important to find a man who loves to give you gifts.
Rule 4: It's important to find a man who is good in bed and loves to have sex with you.
Rule 5: It's important that these four men never meet!
TRUTHFULLY though....I'd take marriage, just as I did 25 years ago. It's permanent. It's having someone to go through it all with, and for. It's being able to lean on each other during lifes little trials (and big ones) and celebrating the joys together. With affairs, you would have to play second fiddle to the wife and family. Time together will be sparse, and probably non-existent on most holidays. Everything would have to be secretive, you couldn't even been seen in public together, and God forbid showing affection. And if by some wild occurrence the affair became a marriage, could you ever really trust him.....fullly knowing that somone who cheats is never really "cured", and that IS the way you found him after all.

The wife..
and when the idiot has the "affair" I would divorce him and take everything, and make him pay for the rest of his entire time on this earth.. ( the "affair" wouldnt want him much after that, so its a double whammy!! )

The wife because I love me too much to put me in a situation that makes me an awful person, somebody who's not ashamed of being the cause of a divorce, and leave kids without a father.

I am a wife, I shouldn't HAVE to choose!!!
If you are a single woman STAY AWAY FROM MARRIED MEN! PERIOD!
Respect the commitment they made to thier wife, and find your own man!
What if they have kids???? Are you that selfish, are you that LAZY that you can't find someone unattached??? How many people do you WANT to hurt for you to be happy?

affair. ive been both. most men cheat so if youre the affair, you already know whats happening. when hes not with you, you dont have to wonder where he is or who hes with....you already know. plus, the "other woman" always gets the good presents.
