What was your old one?

I had a Mac, but went to Windows only because I couldn't afford the new Mac. Macs are nice, but everything Mac is about 4x more.

Windows has the feel of a Mac, but is a hellova lot less expensive. Intel P4s are about $100 more than AMD Athlons.

- My Mac has never crashed.
- Networking is a snap.
- Every piece of hardware i own (camera, film camera, zip drives, printers, etc.) have all worked seamlessly with my Mac.
- All the Professional programs are made for Macs, not PC's (Adobe, Macromedia, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, etc.)
- Most of the other programs have Mac versions
- My Mac is faster than any PC i've sat down at (except a few self-built models)
- The OS is much more user friendly.
- Utilities are easy to manage and customize.
- The Native Programs kick anything Windows offers

I have a Mac. It is not compatible with ANYTHING. Ex: I wanted to network it with my other computer, a Dell, which is hooked up with the wireless internet downstairs. Even those units which stated on the box that they would function to do this did not work. Another ex: my kid brought a disc from school and wanted to do a pwerpoint on the Mac. Guess what? No disc is compatible with a freakin' Mac unless you buy it special and they are expensive. Don't go there, man.

Mac!!!!! I own both. The mac allows you to do all kinds of stuff: make movies, music, slide shows, build websites, use lots of programs with lots of large files. I could never do what I do on my mac on a pc. It would freeze up all the time.

Save your money and buy a pc. If you buy a Mac, be sure to install Windows XP. It will be compatible with more applications that Mac OS.

I would recommend the Intel based Mac. You can also install and run Windows XP on them with adaptive software you buy. That means the best of both worlds.

PC. It's compatible with everything and more affordable than a Mac.

It is also possible to find a small business in your area, like the one I own, that builds customized PC's at a decent price. Check out what your area has to offer.

PC - Mac's are good if you do high-end graphical work. But they aren't customizable and they won't support many of the applications and games used today (unless you go and install Windows on it). They aren't worth the price for the logo.
