Yes..guys know where their bodies are. Those defenders were tackling him left and right and set him up b/c of his temper. He definately did it on purpose. And then the shove on Ronaldo who was stabbing him in the back and Ronaldo later winking to his coach was icing on the cake. He was set up and eventually took the bait.

Rooney showed his ago and immaturity. He is a complete scumbag. Not only to his opponent for cleating him on the family jewels but to his own team for risking getting thrown out of the game just so that he could feel like a big man. His team paid for his stupid judgement. The English were no doubt exhausted even more so during penalties because they were making up for being down a man--it was very selfish what Rooney did. What a low class loser. Don't do stupid ****, some people have to learn that lesson the hard way. =(

Anyone who's an England supporter knows Rooney aka Wazza has an anger management problem. But, yes the red card was excessive, and yes it was yet another case of a referee going too far.

Portugal obviously set it up, but at the end of the day Rooney played into it.

Rooney should learn not to be taunted. Beckham learned the hard way too.

yes he did..but he wasnt sent off because of that..he was sent off for a little push on ronaldo..and that's stupid..we have seen some bad red cards decision by the referee in this world cup, but this one tops them all..he didnt deserve the red card..

i used to like rooney because i'm a man utd fan..but if ronaldo is forced to leave the club because of that incident, then i'm gonna hate rooney after this..and maybe i'll support chelsea since then..

I thought it looked like the guy wrapped his legs around Rooney's leg and unbalanced him so he just accidentally did it. I thought the red card was completely out of line. Yellow sure but look at the way the Portugese were disrespecting the ref and nothing ever happened to them. Stuff like that makes me believe that the matches are rigged. I think Rooney and England were robbed.

in spite of the undeniable fact that Wayne Rooney is an extremely proficient participant yet he has an extremely undesirable-temper. He does a petulant kick on his opponent and he basically get despatched off. He particularly must be taught to administration his temper. If he can, he will certainly be waiting to be a much greater powerful participant. in all probability as reliable because of the fact the Ronaldo. besides, I recon he has been despatched off 7 situations in his occupation. which incorporate the situations in his international occupation.

Yes, Rooney meant it; he was frustrated, and let his anger get the best of him at a crucial time.

Any shot to the groin, especially a step, deserves a red card; if not a punch in the mouth.

I don't think the guy wrapped his legs around Rooney's foot. I'm not a guy but I think it would be natural instinct to draw in to protect oneself. Rooney has a bad temper and got caught showing it.
