I think they've shown they aren't... yes, we all know about Australia, however, Italy did win fair and square against all other teams, Including Germany. In the case of Australia,we all know with high probability that Italy would have won that game anyway... Is it really necessary for Italy to win the cup for everybody to shut up? or maybe even, are people going to shut up at all if Italy does win the cup?

I don't agree that the Italian team are cheaters. I think they proved to a lot of people that they are a good team and very much worthy to be in the final. Even if they did win the cup there will still be people who call them cheaters just because they don't like the team. Hopefully France will join Italy in the final!

Italy should have thought about this before all of the scandals in their own country!

You know it's bad enough to say that futbol in your country is favoured..& then you come to the World Cup & make situations like in the Australia game & yet still want to be considered a fair-playing team??? Well..that's not gonna happen..

Yes people will talk IF Italy wins..but people have the right to talk..think about it..if Italy didn't want people to talk, then they shouldn't have given them something to talk about!

& VIVA PORTUGAL!

Maybe if Italy hadn't invented the whole diving and rolling around on the field thing.

But, I'm happy Italy beat Germany.

Well, if they win, they'll say that Italy, backed by the Mafia, bribed FIFA, paid the referees, threatened their opposing teams' goalies to death if they didn't let Italy score, and I don't know what else... They'll say that the whole world cup was fixed in favor of Italy cause Italians are the biggest, dirtiest cheaters in the world. They'll let their imagination fly, as usual.

But... who cares? ;-)

No, winning the World Cup wont make a difference. They have to show some integrity in order for people to stop calling them cheaters.

oh, yeah? After beating Australia the way they did, after playing the USA the way they did, after all the scandals going on with arranged games in Italy, after their unfriendly behavior on the field, do you still call Italy fair play? Did you see Gattuso's behavior today with Ballack? What a jerk!!!

You really need a reality check, buddy...

It is very simple. Italy just doesn't deserve to win the time. They just didn't play well. They are just damn lucky. I am not sure if people will shut up eventhough they will win the worldcup. It just wasn't fair at all...The fair play rule just stops here.

People never shut up. So even if they win the World Cup (which I hope they will), you can look forward to more whispering and gossip.

Even if they win, there will be whispers that the refs went in their favor.
