Hard Boiled (1992) Directed by John Woo. Starring Cow Yun Fat.
John Woo revolutionized action films in 1986 with his film "A Better Tomorrow." Action directors all over the world owe him for it. Die Hard wouldn't have been what it was without it. The Matrix films wouldn't exist without it.
Hard Boiled is the last film Woo made in Hong Kong before coming to the US. A critic I once read referred to it as "Die Hard on steroids." It is without a doubt the most heart stopping action film I have ever seen. A total assault on the senses and contains the longest sustained action sequence I have ever seen - 45 minutes, the entire 3rd act of the film.
It's on DVD. Watch it on the biggest screen you possibly can.

The Attack of The Killer Tomatoes.Seat gripping nail biting stuff.The follow on is even better,i think it was called The Revenge of The Killer Tomatoes.Both classic films.
