Yes, because they have done so much for me. I adopted 9 special needs children, and people have been so kind to us. They give us furniture, clothes, they watch the kids so I can have a break. I love my neighbors. I live in a great community--they are very kind hearted good people. I know my community can't be the only one like this. If we choose to see the good, we will. If we choose to see the bad, we will. There are all kinds of people, just choose to see the good in society. Example: How many people in the USA personally wanted to invite refugees from Hurricane Katrina into their homes. Where I live, there were tons of people who wanted to do anything to help them, but they were being limited on what they could do by the Red Cross. But their good hearts certainly showed. Think of it. They didn't even know those people, they just knew they were suffering and wanted to help them.

Yes, there are a lot. Sometimes, when we see a lot of mean and angry people around us, we forget about all of the nice and friendly people. If you see a slick business man in a fancy suit cut you off in his convertable and see someone give a homeless person some money, you'll probably remember the business man at the end of the day. When you feel you're the only good hearted person left in the world, just remember: you're not alone. There's probably more good hearted people in the world than mean. Give the human race a chance; we're naturally friendly! =)

There is a parable about that question... I'll give you the abbreviated version....
Old man sitting on the porch of the gas station and a stranger stops to talk. He tells the man he is thinking of moving to the town and asks what kind of folks live here. Old man asks what kind of people live in his present town. When the guy says it is full of jerks the old man says... yeah, you'll find them here too and it would be a waste to move if you're trying to get away from them.
Next day another guy stops and asks the same question but his answer is that where he lives is a really nice place and the folks are very likable. Old man responds that the folks are wonderful here too.
Moral of the story? "No matter where you go, there you are."

Yes there are good hearted people out there. I am one!! There are more good people than bad, only you hear and see the bad because they are all over the place-the news, tv shows, your work or school. I used to believe there were no good people still, but it is just not true. Look only for the good, turn away from the bad.

Of course there are. You don't notice them as much because:
1. They don't go around saying look at me I am good hearted (in other words they don't show off about themselves)
2. The news would rather broadcast all the crap and sadness going on instead.
3. They look like everyone else, it is what is inside that counts.
Keep your eyes and ears open, and you will begin to notice them - they really are out there!

I think there are some still around but they are hard to find. The world is hard hearted now.... Just what I think. Maybe people put up a front and they are really nice inside. I would hate to think people are all mean and rude. But it seems they are.

Yes there are. You just hear about them less often because it's always the thugs, and gang bangers that make the 'six o'clock news' so to speak. That and the fact that Morals have been on a steady decline in America since the '70s.

I believe so, but you have to look really carefully.
Hubby and I have attempted to help many others and they've either not appreciated the help, stolen from us or many other things.
Experiences such as these makes people turn away from helping, giving money, etc. So, finding good hearted people gets harder because no one likes to be taken advantage of more than once.

Oh yeah, definitely. I think everyone has the capability for goodness and I believe that someday all that goodness will come out...until then, we just need to be good ourselves with hopes of bringing out the good in other people.

Thats a very good question......I ask the same question all the time. Seems like the asses of the world get ahead and get what they want. The saying" good guys finish last" is very true these days.
