I know this is going to be hard to believe but my most succesful night of the week are Thursdays. Why? I really do not know other than it is the last day of the week before the weekend begins and most people stay at home before the Friday night festivities or maybe its just that people stay home waiting for their paycheck on Friday.

Day or night makes no difference but I prefer nights.

My uncle works on weeknights, when people are usually home in bed, asleep.

I guess it depends... they get the job, and just do it when they get around to it. They always have all of your information before coming out. They have your nearest relative's address info...and your work address and schedule.

They are very sneaky. My uncle will sometimes pretend to be with law enforcement to get information, sometimes he even pretends that he has something to give to them (ie money, packages from mail or UPS)...that way he can always find out when and where you are. They use any means necessary, even if illegal...phone taps, etc...

If you are looking to hide the car....by law, a repo man can not enter a closed garage, cover up the VIN numbers if possible so the vehicle can not be verified, remove the tag when away from the vehicle for long periods of time. They can't take a vehicle if they can't identify that it's the one they are supposed to get.

My uncle even had a man hide his car in a garage 50 miles away, and took the bus to work until he caught up on payments. That was kind of funny.

Anyway...before doing anything crazy, call the lender and try to work something out. If they are not willing to cooperate, possesion is 9/10's of the law...better not let it go from your hand to theirs.

They never have a particular day however they definitely have a particular time and that is at night. Especially if they suspect they are going to have a problem getting the car back. The best thing to do is part your car somewhere else and not around the corner. they will circle the area looking for the car. They will go as far as a five mile radius. they are very creative in getting the car back.

THEY CAN TAKE IT WHENEVER AND IF YOU TRIE TO HIDE IT FROM THEM YOU WILL BE ARRESTED FOR GRAND THEFT. PEOPLE WHO SAY REPO MEN DON'T WORK WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT ARE WRONG. THEY WORK CLOSELY WITH THEM AND IF NEED BE THEY WILL HAVE THE COPS WITH THEM. THEY CAN USE ANY MEANS POSSIBLE TO RECOVER THE CLIENTS CAR AND THEY CAN ENTER ANY PROPERTY THAT THEY HAVE REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THE VEHICLE IS THEIR. THEY MAY EVEN TAKE IT WHILE YOU SHOP AT A LOCAL STORE. THEY ALWAYS DO SURVEILANCE AT LEAST A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME TO SEE WHERE YOU TRAVEL TO ALOT. IF YOU ARE NOT THAT FAR BEHIND ON YOUR CAR PAYMENTS YOU COULD TRADE IT IN TO A DEALER SO THAT IT GETS PAID OFF BUT YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO PAY NEGATIVE EQUITY ON IT ON TOP OF THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR THE NEW AUTO YOU GET FROM THEM. IF YOU DO IT THIS WAY YOU WILL AT LEAST SAVE YOUR CREDIT SOMEWHAT INSTEAD OF DESTROYING IT TO WHERE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO GET ONE.

If your the rep man, I'd say hit him Monday.

If your the debtor, I'd park the car at a friend's down the street Sunday night. Make that every night.

On the weekend say Sunday after midnight; you're tired from the weekend and are trying to get some sleep before Monday.
