My friend is a total biotch but because she is good looking she still gets the best treatment from strangers, waitstaff, owners, managers at businesses etc.
My other friend is somewhat homely looking but the most sweet person you'd ever know...but she virtually gets ignored or snubbed by others.
Are people that shallow?

however, your good looking friend will get old and then her life will suck! cutting corners will catch up!
if the homely chick is bitter she will end up just as bad!
Sociology identifies these problems, but how they react will determine their outcomes!

For the most part yes. Good looks get peoples attention. Personalities are secondary with first impressions unless the personality overwhelms the physical attraction. The squeaky door gets the grease. The squeak can be visual or otherwise. The ongoing consensus is: If you please my senses I will pay attention to you.

Yes people are that shallow. I have lost weight and have seen how people change around me. I might have just got sexy clothes but I still wear some of the same style that I did before and the guys are different now. I was sweet to them before but it was like your sister sweet now it is who are you and what are you doing later? The women don't like me now they give me looks like I think you want my man.

I have heard that 'good looking' people do have it better than 'ugly' people. As to why this happens, alludes me, but it's sad that it exists. As you mention, people who judge and treat others solely on the basis of their appearance are quite shallow themselves----so really their behaviour is a reflection of their own (poor) character.
Overtime, looks will wither, but personality will endure--just remember that.

I think it's true in general. However, if you look at different people as individuals, you'll find good looking ones with crummy lives, and not so good looking people with wonderful lives. So in the end, life is what you make it. (Sorry for the cliche!)

some r my friend he iz a guy and ia ma a guy i mean i must admit he is good looking for a guy and he has a great personallity and everyone loves him he is perfect he all of the girls have a crush on him and he does get special attention so fine people are better than ugly people.............I am ugly
