I had a heart attack and I can not control my temper. Iget mad faster than before the heart attack. Is there a chemical imbalance.

No, the heart attack you experienced has nothing to do with a chemical imbalance in the brain. Were you stressed out before you had the heart attack? Stress is one of the top 5 reasons for heart attack. or...did you have a temper before the heart attack? Although we don't always view ourselves as tempermental, others might view us quite differently if we asked them (nicely) if they thought we had a temper. Can you ask someone without intimidating them to give you an honest answer?

Sometimes after a serious illness (like yours) we do tend to become depressed, and depression takes many forms, even being easily agitated (and tempermental). If you are having trouble controlling your anger you MUST talk to your cardiologist or primary physician about it. Ask for a depression screen. It's not uncommon for someone to become depressed after an illness, assuming you weren't stressful before the heart attack which might've led to the heart attack? Food for thought?

My Dad once told me that it takes only one stroke to make a person a vegetable, or only one heart attack to change someone for the rest of their lives. There's rarely a second one for either a stroke or a heart attack, because not that many people can survive the second one.

When anyone suffers a heart attack there's a chemical imballance... I'm not quite sure what it's called, but it does change a person not only mentally but also emotionally and physically. It is a normal reaction and depending how long ago you had it you can always find a cure. Just make sure that now you'll take a greater care of yourself.

Ask a caring Professional about this and talk to him/her about your concern and problem. He/She might be able to prescribe something for you to make it a lot easier to bare the temper. If the modern Doctor will not know what to do, go to the Alternative Medicine and Therapies Clinic near you and talk to the caring Professional there. He/She might be able to give herbs, herbal medicine, teas, or assign a specialized program just for you, so this way you'll be able to heal faster not only on the outside but on the inside too.

No. I think you are probably angry this happened to you, and you are expressing it in not a very good way. Perhaps you should talk to a counselor, or possibly discuss this on an online chat with your fellow peers.

The health of your heart can affect the way you feel. But those other answers are probably correct.
