They are usually made of the absorbable material and with some other chemical to make to as white as "glow in the dark" (just a joke!) So what kind of chemical material to make it whiter? And how long we may got the infected with this chemical when skin contact? And does any other safe substitute commodity (non-chemical manufactured) instead of them?

my mother said, according to her obgyne, that we should change pantyshields often as this could irritate the skin and cause infections. if you wear a pantyshield since morning, by lunch you should have that changed or even just go through the day without it.

They use bleach to make the material that white. And I'm pretty sure that if paper and white cotton clothes don't make you sick (they use the same stuff) then nor will your sanitary pads.
