Spike, hands down. I just.. loved his accent (English accents make me weak in the knees), his snarkiness, humor, sarcasm, the bad-boy quality, the dangerousness of him being a vampire, his vulnerability that he tries so hard to hide sometimes, even a slight dorkiness about him... his face... mnmm.
Actually, I have a tremendous James Marsters obsession. He's a good singer too.
I do love Angel too but he was a little too aloof and cranky for my taste. He's a gorgeous man and I would swoon for him too, don't get me wrong. But didn't quite grab me the way Spike did. Too bad Buffy didn't feel the same way!
My favorite character is Spike. Second favorite? Hmm... probably Willow. I just know she and I would click personality-wise.

Spike all the way! Angel was too quiet and dull. With Spike, he changed from a cold blooded killer to a lover for Buffy. He loved Buffy and instead of running off like Angel did, he got his soul back for her and then treated her right! Plus, he was funny and hot!! British guys all the way!

Angel.... He was Irish, he was bullied by his Father we later found out, then later killed his Dad for being an alcoholic and abusive. I grew up in an abusive home, and Im Irish, so I can identify with that. Further, he just seemed to live a more interesting life than Spike....
Spike wrote bad poetry before he was brought over and turned into a Vampire.
As for my favorite character.... Easy.... Its Faith. In fact, the ONLY time I found Sarah Michelle Gellar REALLY attractive is the episode when Buffy and Faith switched bodies. Now THATS acting folks !!!! *g*

Spike cuz he is cool and he risked his life for Buffy. When had Angel died for Buffy never the only times Angel died is when Buffy killed him. But Spike died for Buffy in the last season now he is so better then stupid Angel.
Xander and Ayna were my favorite. Xander was always funny and Anya was scared of bunnys that was even more funny.

Well Angel was hotter, sure, but very brooding. Although on the series Angel he had a much better sense of humor. But I'd have to say I liked Spike's character better than Angel's.

Spike, because his character was never boring. While Angel got a little annoying by the end.

I liked Spike the most. He was a bad boy but healso had a good side to him. I liked Spike overall He had that Austin Power/James Dean thing going on. When he was bad he was bad but when he was good he was the best.

Well I liked Angel because he is hot, but I liked Spike because he was always so funny. So I guess if I had to pick I would say Angel just because he IS so hot

Spike, sexy accent, he was just more likable than Angel. overall I liked Spike and his vampire gf. the librarian was a hottie.
