I love them both equally. Here's why: Both animated movies have great messages.
Finding Nemo, is for fathers to trust their children to make good choices after, of course, having raised them. It also teaches all viewers to just keep trying to attain your goals ("just keep swimming!") It's a great father-child movie that we don't really get a lot of. I enjoy watching my son, daughter and hubby sit down and watch it together.
Shrek is a great comedy about accepting and learning to love others regardless of differences and of course physical appearances. Fiona learns that an ogre can be just as charming (or more so) than the prince she expected. Others around Shrek also learn to love and accept him the way they are.
With such great messages I honestly don't think I can single one out as "the best". They're both great and serve the same audience only with a different purpose!

Finding Nemo both of my granddaughters love it and have probably watched it a million times. I like Shrek too and all of the Land Before Time movies.

Well, both are great movies, but I have to go with Finding Nemo. Shrek is more for adult consumption, but Nemo could be enjoyed by both adults and children!!
