What do you count as child abuse? Do you count cuts or bruises as child abuse (that the parent(s) did)? Or anything that the parent did to hurt the child?

There are several kinds of child abuse. Just because we can't see any visible wounds does not mean the child doesn't suffer from emotional abuse. Sometimes emotional abuse is harder on a child than physical abuse. There are warning signals to know when to call the Department of Human Services or the agency in your city who handles these issues. Child abuse without obvious cuts, bruises, limb breaks, and other physical obvious abuse are many: Some are: cranky, can't sleep, fear of a lot of things, crying for no reason, acting out when there's no reason, lying, developing a fantasy world, running away, and many others. I've included a web site to help you discover more. Remember we have a duty to report suspected child abuse. That child's life will be permanently affected if someone doesn't step in and stop it. The caregiver who abuses their children have usually been abused themselves and they can't stop the cycle without therapy.

If the cuts and bruises are inflicted by the parents, of course it's child abuse. It's a sensitive subject to tackle. You need to be really sure that it's caused by the parents.

I come from a strict household who believed in corporal punishment. I dare say that I deserve it as I was really really naughty. My parents use a wooden ruler,a cane or a leather belt. However, my sibling and i did not have any bruising or cuts. Just the red mark which is gone by a couple of hours. I guess they use the correct pressure to inflict just the correct amount of pain to teach us a lesson.

Parents who abuse their child do not have discipline in mind. They are venting their anger on probably their own failure as a parent or at their spouse.

Anything that was an intentional emotional, physical, etc. hurting of a child is child abuse in my mind.
Ex. If a parent tries to help a child but ends up hurting them, I would not necessarily see that as child abuse.

If the parents are physically punishing a child to the point of cuts or bruises, it's abuse.

Child abuse can be anything that is physically, mentally, spiritually etc harmful to the child.

You intent to abuse the children When you tease them, cut or bruise them, spank them or shout at them for nothing.

Do you know that most of the abusing starts from the home?

Child abuse must end. I pray every single child in the world live safe forever.

If a parent is causing their child to be bruised - meaning they are pushing/hitting/or anything else that they are physically doing to cause the child harm - that is child abuse.

I think Dave Chapel brought up a valuable point regarding MJ. How does a boy that young remembers Michael Jackson? Then his parents took the money after the abuse scandal or whatever, I mean If my child was abused F%7 the money I demand justice, but the took the money and quietly disappear.
