I love this guy more than the world, and he claims he feels the same way about me, but he says he's single, and i say i'm single, if he asked me to be his girlfriend at some point in time, i would say yes in a heart beat, i mean, i know why nothing has happened, I live in california, and he lives in north carolina, i'm 12, he's 15, we met off myspace, but we both trust eachother very well, it took us about 2 months to warm up to eachother...this guy is my sun, my moon, and my stars, but i want him to make a move, what do i do...

Well, you are probably getting a lot of "your too young" answers already. I know it's not the answer your looking for but it's true. Believe me that although he seems like a great guy, he's still 3000 miles away and his interest in you (and your interest in him) may only last for a short time (it's natural).

Long Distance relationships are hard enough for adults and usually don't work the majority of the time. Trust all of us adults who are telling you to not put a lot of emotion into this relationship. Talk to your mom (or dad). They will probably tell you the same thing but will appreciate you being open with them and you'll gain their trust if you bring it up (vs. them finding out beforehand).

I'm sorry, but there is no way for you to truly know that this guy is your sun, moon, stars etc. unless you've actually spent some time together in person. Getting to know someone on the phone and through email only can show you a small part of who that person really is. I'm sure this guy thinks you are very attractive from your pictures, and enjoys talking to you, but he hasn't asked you to be his girlfriend, and it is probably because he knows that you two will never be able to see each other, and doesn't want to have a relationship with someone who lives permanently in another state. Long distance relationships are not fun, especially when you are 12, and your parents aren't going to let you fly to see him and stay with him every month. You should just keep in touch with him, and if you ever happen to live or be somewhere close to each other, meet up and see how things go. Don't rush things with someone you've never met, and will have not be able to see on a regular basis for years and years down the road.

Excuse me? 12 and 15? Finish school, be a child, neither one of you is a man or woman capable of making decisions such as these. 12 and 15, really? That is sad if that is true. You need to get a life! There is a LOT more to life than some guy hundreds of miles away. You are WAY too young to even think about things like this!!!!!

Have you ever met this person? BEWARE. Are you sure he is who he says he is? How can you be sure?

ALSO -- You cannot maintain a RELATIONSHIP across so many miles.

ALSO -- if you're 12, and if he's 15 -- you both need to be SINGLE for some time to come.

BE CAUTIOUS. You're jumping at a fantasy right now. Give yourself the opportunity to develop a real relationship at the appropriate time in your life.

The distance alone should be enough to make you consider finding someone closer to home.Keep in touch with this guy and when you both can manage it and if you want to,make plans to meet and then see what you have for each other is real.

You're 12? Where are the limits in the house where you live. You're much too young for this stuff. Go outside and play. Again where are your parents.

I can't read minds, but I get the feeling that the fact that you are both still kids might have something to do with your predicament.
