Fortunately, they are not dying for oil. They are dying for the cause of freeing people that have been in bondage, many for all their lives. If it was for oil, we could very easily have taken over that country.

I have not heard about homeless, but think of this,
why would a soldier be homeless, they have been working making fairly good pay, In the war zone they have no living expense and get hazard pay. Why would they not have lots of money in the bank,
Next they don't get off the plane from Iraq and go straight home, they will go to a base for various discharge.
If they are in the National Guard they will return back home sooner.
I would say there are reasons why a soldier would be homeless and alot of this may have to do with the ability of the soldier to manage his money.
When my son was discharged, he had enough money to buy a brand new truck, got GI to pay for his year in tech school and enough for a dump to live in.
So I would say that if anyone is homeless you are not getting the entire story, merely the anti war peoples twist on a few cases

We are not fighting for oil. We are trying to rid the world of terrorists It should be freedom for all. Here is some of what F. D. R. said.
Imagine that World War II has just ended. You seem to have unlimited opportunities. You can choose between getting a job and going to school. You are able to say what you want and express your ideas. You can worship your God and freely meet with others who worship the same way. You and your family have food, clothing, and a home. You have no fear for your future. The world is no longer in danger of being conquered. You feel secure that these freedoms will continue for you, your children, and your grandchildren. You hope that your grandchildren do not take these freedoms for granted, because not everyone in the world lives this way. Maybe one day everyone will.

Try to survvive without oil. Though we are not the biggest country in the world, we consume 25-30 % of all the oil that is processed. If the oil were not there, thia country would come to a sudden halt and our progress would stop.
Why would you want this to happen. It would negatively impact everyone.
