What really makes you know this?

When happy, I live in the present. I can tell because I don't dwell on a past failure or success, as much as focusing on the task at hand.

When sad, I live in the past. I can tell because I re-live things that I cannot change and still feel badly about those things.

When I daydream, I live in the future. I can tell because I think about a world where greed for money is nonexistent and people enjoy life for the sake of enhancing their everyone and not one individual or individual group. Living in the future is really cool.

The short answer in a nutshell: I remember the past, I move in the present, looking toward the future. Put another way: the past brought me here, the present is keeping me here, and I will find the future.

The past is my memories. It's the good times, the bad times, the ugly times. All the lessons I've ever learned about anything. The past has made me what I am, just like all of us. Without my memories, nothing in the present situation would make any sense. I wouldn't know how I got here or what anything is.

The present is the present, obviously. It's where it's at. It's what's going on. Without the present, there's zilch. It's in the present that I remember the past and look toward the future. No matter when it happened or is going to happen, you can only see any of it from one single vantage point: the present. So really, I don't have a choice but to live in the present.

It's kind of hard to live in the future, because there isn't just one future. At any given moment, there are millions of different ways that any situation could pan out. Anything could happen tomorrow. But the question is, do you want to just sit back and watch it unfold, and just hope that somebody gives you what you want, or do you want to be a part of your own destiny? If you chose answer choice B, then you have to have an eye on the future. Where are you going? Where do you want to be going?

So it's all of the above for me.

All three really. I am living in the past and still have a terrible time trusting people as my childhood was just awful. The present since I am married with a baby, and the future since I look forward to soooooo many wonderful memories with my husband and baby!

Past is gone nothing to regret, Future is ahead something we cant forsee but present is fun which we are supposed to live to the fullest. Thats why i guess I live in the present rather than regretting the past r worrying for the future.

Hi-dee-hoo again Coloryst ~~~
With some things I'm in my little time warp from the past. I'm a cartoonist in my spare time. And I think I draw because it takes me back to a place where I was very happy. Crayons and coloring books and visiting my grandma. Watching my older brother draw his amazing picture and not even color a "oops" outta the lines when I was about 7 put me in a trace of Awe. (I wish I could do that!) I've worked on it ever since. Which then brings me to the present. All these years of drawing Walt Disney's works of art, Looney Toons, Pooh and Friends, Betty Boop, the list goes on for children all over to post on their doors and in their rooms is a treat but I had to think of the future as well. I can't be recognised for drawing other peoples work....legally. So I resently came up with my own cartoon character, me Cat in Cat's Cartoon Land.......which will hopefully keep me and others who will hopefully see it entertained in the future.
I know this be.......ca....use......hmmmmmmm! My earlier works of art say 1980's( past), my work now says today(present). .....and If I don't want you to cash my check because I'm not famous as yet, I'll write the date 4 days from now!!!(future) Yes.......yes.....that's my answer!!

Take care
The crazed-chasin'-after-her-own-tail.....

Actually...a combination of the 3! The past...I think about...although I try and not dwell on it...as much as to draw experience with regards to the present and definitely the future! Best wishes:)
