Where do I begin? For starters, I've been burned, massively burned by men in my past. When I met the love of my life I was newly relocated due to an abusive ex and while I didn't have the attitude that "all men are scum", I was gun-shy towards everyone, men and women alike.

He has taken his time with me. He listens and understands and doesn't take anything personally when I talk about my past. He's the first person that has really seen me, seen who I am and hasn't walked away. He's the first person that I have ever been able to be completely honest with about my view of myself, good, bad and ugly and still be able to look in the eye afterwards.

There's no pushing. When he tries to move closer and I pull back, he doesn't get mad. He asks why...and then works with me to help me get beyond what brought me to that place.

I love the way he speaks. He has a good heart. He's more than a little rough around the edges, as he too has had a hard life, yet he's still able, in spite of everything, to be gentle with me.

He made it possible for me to be able to FEEL that someone loved me. He has helped bring me to a point where I no longer walk with my head down.

I've never known anyone like him nor have I ever felt anything remotely close to what I feel about and towards him. I wish there were some way for me to accurately express everything he means to me and everything that attracts me to him, but sometimes, we are so in awe of something, we lack the ability to communicate.

i was most attracted to his personality. He is very secure in himself and confident but not in an arrogant sort of way. He was always telling me how beautiful I am and treating me like a queen. I have very low self esteem and he makes me feel worth while.

We had alot in common, which made me feel he understood me. We had alot not in common, which made/makes him interesting still. He is always willing to say he's sorry even when it's not his fault.

He listened to me and actually understood where I was coming from, he didn't judge me, and he spoke to me from his heart.
