Pujols: Less years, more potential, recent production.
A-Rod: Better numbers, established career, MVPs.

Considering that they play on different sides of the diamond, you really can't compare the two, as tempting as it may be.

Pujols, he's a dependable clutch hitter. A-Rod is great in the first 3 innings or if the score is 10-0, then he'll get you a home run with 2 or 3 people on, but in the bottom of the 9th, with 2 ours and a runner on 3rd, I'll take Pujols any day.

This question will seem ridiculous in 20 years when Albert Pujols retires with more home runs than Henry Aaron. A-Rod will just be a ballplayer who bounced from the Mariners to the Rangers and ended up with the Yankees. Hopefully, with no World Series rings from any of those teams.

Pujols any day. In the clutch hitting, oh yeah. Arod = chocker. But you really can't compare a first baseman to a third baseman. Totally different fielding.

Pujols is better under pressure and in the middle innings. A-Rod might have Gold Gloves at SS but not at 3rd(or atleast he shouldn't)Pujols has a close total to A-Rod at age 26 than A-Rod at age 31.

A-Rod. Alex is already proven himself as a top MVP player in MLB. Alex is already Hall of Fame material and Gold Glove winner. I'm not saying Pujols will not do some of the same things but at this point A-Rod definitely has the edge. Its like people comparing Papelbon to Rivera? That's crazy! How can you compare anyone to Rivera until they do half of what Rivera has accomplished. Its the young kids who are making these comparisons right now who have not seen the whole careers of these fine players. I know I have one of them living in my house, lol.
