talk to her about it...I know it's hard but it's the only way...there may be an explanation!

Talk to your daughter - ask her why there is no pics of you in her house!
She might not have any nice ones of you to place around! Otherwise there must be an underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
Otherwise get some professional photos of yourself and give them to her as a present - this is a sly way around the situation if you are not feeling ok in asking the reason why! If she then does not have the pics up then there is something wrong.
Don't go guessing the best way is to ask - and make sure that she is honest with you!
Good Luck!

I love my mother, we've always been pretty close. However, I never really liked the idea of a picture of her being displayed. My husband though received an 8x10 of his mother and likes the idea of having it up so I never complained about it. I guess I just think pictures like that should be the children and grandchildren (granddaughter in my case), but that's just my opinion. It in no way reflects the closeness between my mother and I.

Does she have any ill feelings towards you? If not, then she might not have any pictures of you to put up. At the next family gathering make it a point to take some pictures with you in them and frame one up and give it to her to display. If she still doesn't display it, then sit down and ask her why she doesn't have any pictures of you up - just be honest and understanding.

So sorry mom to hear that, but mom,I think its time for you to have a chat with your daughter. One on One. You might be surpriced to hear your daughters answer..You are worring at this point, and maybe its not as bad as it appears! And should it be...Then take it as a compliment...Who knows, maybe you made a great impact on your son-in-law that , the thought of seeing mom in the living room coffee table everyday, just sets the record straight for him not to mess around with mama's baby lol .... Good luck ...

It may be that your son-in-law's family sends them pictures to be displayed. Try sending a picture of yourself to them along with a regular present next Christmas/birthday.

Wow...that sucks. Put a 8X10 in a frame and give it to her as a gift....problem solved!
Oh yeah next time you go over there the picture better be hanging up or there will be hell to pay....say that in a loving and joking way but be serious as cancer in your head!

Maybe her husband put them up. I think the best thing to do would be to ask her about it. Another way is to take a pic of you and put it in a frame, give it to her and tell her you noticed that she didn't have any photos of you.

Maybe her husband is the one that hung the pictures of his parents i wouldn't take it to personal but the next gift i give her would be a picture of me and my wife.... then if she doesn't get the point and hang it i would be offended

Does she have any pictures of you? If not..there's your answer. My home is the same...it's not intentional...just mention it or as a gift...bring over a bunch of your photos of you and her or just you or just her and say that you were getting new frames and decided to have new prints made and would she like these.

Bring her a framed picture of you. Is it that she just does not have one? You could let her know that you noticed the others and thought she would like to have this one also.
