If so, which cities are likely to receive a team?

If so, will the CFL expand into the U.S. again?

If not, why not?

I don't imagine the CFL will expand in the US again, unless the NFL sees the CFL as a kind of minor-league version of itself. Then I can imagine the NFL supporting teams in cities like Sacramento, Portland, and having a duplicate team in cities like Chicago (where they're hot for a second pro football team to come in as an excuse to build a stadium so they can be a frontrunner for the 2016 Olympics).

But, do you think the CFL would ever see itself as a minor-league version of a larger franchise unless they had no choice? I can't imagine a scenario in which that would be the case.

As for expansion in Canada... I don't know enough about their financial situation to know if they're capable.

I don't see it going back to the US, until it has 10 healthy teams in Canada.
Even though I no longer care whether Ottawa gets a team back or not, they will have one in either the next season or the following season after that.
Halifax or Moncton (or even Quebec City) will have a team also, to finaly even out the west and east to both having five teams.

The only American city that had even an anouce of interest in the CFL was Baltimore. A group still comes up from Baltimore every year for the Grey Cup! But as for the CFL expanding into the US. I feel the same way about the NFL expanding into Canada. Don't want it and it won't work out.

AFAIK the NFL and the CFL have an agreement not to poach each other's turf now. Before the Renegades folded I would have said expansion was likely. Now I don't know. If Halifax wins their Commonwealth games bid there will be a suitable stadium constructed which will make that a possibility. Saint Mary's only gets a few thousand people (trust me on this I'm one of them) out for their regular season games in Halifax; but Laval gets 20000 people all the time, so maybe it's Quebec city that deserves the team.

here's the cities that i think should get a team

Brandon
Quebec City
Halifax
St. John's
Saskatoon

No i do not think the CFL will expand into the US again because if it had worked the first time then they wouldn't have to worry about it again. besides why expand into a territory that already has its own league

Yes the CFL will expand again. They should not go back to the States.
The next team should be in the East. Lets say Halifax, Or St.John's NFLD. Wouldn't the Grey Cup parties be awsome on the rock.

Yes, the league is growing, and as proven in Hamilton and Toronto all you need is good owners or look at Saskatchewan and get good community owners, anyway the league is the second most popular league in the contury, but it will never go back to the states.
