Not sure if NJ has a similar recall election law as CA but it sounds like a great idea in regards to current state government shutdown in Trenton. What was Corzine thinking with this shutdown? Definitely not his re-election.

I agree. There is no doubt that the state is in need of change but he is going about it in the wrong way. Here are just a few numbers... The casino's bring in a little over 1.1 million dollar's per day in taxes. Of that, less than $20,000 is used by the state to keep the security and commission in place. The rest of the support comes from private security and local police.

The lottery is also another profit for the state. Although this money is said to go to education, all of the overhead costs are still taken out of the profits, making it a cost free operation.

Horse racing is another money maker for the state....

Now, if you are looking for a way to INCREASE the money in the state's pocket, are you going to shut down things that MAKE money for the state... i dont think so...

The guy is simply spiteful. He didn't get his way with the tax hike and so he is doing things to make everyone realize how much the "need" and "Depend" on him to keep the state in order.

I agree with you that Corzine should be replaced. He's doing a terrible job at the moment by being stubborn. He's doing more damage to the citizens of New Jersey today than an unbalanced budget would do. New Jersey does not want to be the state with the highest tax rate in this country. And I commend the representatives who are fighting Corzine on this issue. Sounds like the power went straight to his head and now his ego is making decisions for him. What a terrible governor he's turning out to be.
