Question

Does anyone know the name of this song? I'm not sure who sings it, so that would help too. I don't know an exact phrase, so I cant google! It's about a man who buys a car from a woman. The car belonged to a member of the armed forces, and the title of the song is his rank. The man got in an accident, but the previous owner saved him. I think the song is called ridind with "so and so". I really appriciate any answers!

The man in the song goes to a lady to buy what she says is a Chevy but it is actually a Corvette and he finds a note written by Private Malone in the glovebox. The man says when he turns real quick, that he thinks he can see Private Malone sitting in the seat next to him. And one day he takes the turn fast, and Private Malone saves him.
