They need pitching and hitting. If you look at their bottom four in the lineup for hitting it is pretty weak. If they could get him Soriano would fill the bill. Or someone more the middle of the line like Jacque Jones who is more realistic would also help. And Pitching, well everyone needs that. At this point they could use a fifth starter or middle relief. I think the way they are now there a second place team and I'm a Yankee fan. Big time Yankee fan.

because this is been stated the Yankees did not favor to deal their potentialities, notwithstanding opposite to three comments right here, Eric Gagne does no longer suck. The red Sox also did not supply up plenty to get him, Kason Gabbard is doing properly now, yet he's often injured and has had 3-4 arm surgical procedures. David Murphy became #3 on the intensity chart for outfielders contained in the red Sox device in the back of Ellsbury and Moss. really, the Yankees did not function yet another high quality arm because they concept they could upload Chamberlain and it may make the version, the problem: With pitchers like Clemens and Mussina going below 7 innings always, it places a pressure on bullpen fingers which will commence to reveal by the end of the season (sort of already is).

And, of course, who should the Yankees trade away...?

George Steinbrenner pays a lot of money to get what he wants. And, that's to his credit.

The Yankees needed a good starting arm in the bullpen since last year. But, you could only buy what's for sale.

The highest payroll in baseball and the team is lucky to make the playoffs!

LETS GO, METS...

At least 2 starting pitchers. All that money for salaries and the state of their pitching is atrociousVerlander would be tasty. The Yankees would have to give up some real prospects to get him though.
