I was referring to in our own lives......whether it be going up against drug dealers, standing up to nasty bosses & saying you won't commit the unethical act they ask you too for the sake of the job or churches that preach fear, guilt & control? Now what do you all have to say?

What's this inclusion of churches? You feel bad about not having the courage to tell preachers that they shouldn't tell people that their old book says if we don't lie to people, steal from people, hate and cheat people that we will probably have better lives? Why don't you stir up some gumption to oppose important things like kleenixes and clothes that cover up our ugliness when we haven't the courage (though more likely good taste) to show the world how ugly we are without them?

BTW, don't screw up courage to go against drug dealers, bring some cops with you, the word for not doing this is stupid.

There are two things I can say, and they both came from my dad when I was a little boy. The first is that courage is putting your fears aside and just doing your job. The second, something that goes along with courage, is integrity. Integrity means doing the right thing when nobody is looking.

Uh, Yeah! Take that everybody!

I really have no idea what you're talking about, mate. Anyway, what do courage and churches that preach fear, guilt and control have to do with each other? And do all churches preach this?

I had to look at your original question, and the answer is that personal morality is just that: personal. Here you get into the character traits of the individual. Perhaps I am atypical in today's world, but when someone asks me to go against what I believe in, I tell them to go to hell, and hope they don't like it. That's me, and is pretty much true of most of my generation (I'm 65). Been doing that all my life, and I have to credit my parents with teaching me to be that way.

I think courage is standing up for what ...we... believe in .
our own morals are corrupted by Devil vision, planting seeds of doubt, tearing family values to pieces.we should be able to watch TV with out hearing nasty words and seeing Viagra commercials.
