Switch is spose to turn em off, but once shut I have no idea if the switch is still working, so no, not 100%,,99.9% maybe stretching it.

Yes, there's a button that is pressed in by closing a fridge door/car trunk lid which makes the light go off/come on. You can press it yourself and find out.

I am 100% positive that the little light goes out in the fridge when I close the door. Because all you have to do is push the little button it hits when the door closes, and the light goes out.

There's a little button on the upper right corner, and if you press that with your finger with the door open, you'll see that the light goes off... WOOOWW!!! magic!!

yes- if you push it closed it very slowly you will see the light go out just before it closes shut.
