Very few meds have to be taken EXACTLY every 8 hours, and that includes antibiotics. So depending you may be able to take it when you wake up, mid day then bedtime.
You should call your MD or pharmacist to check first
Edit: Seeing it's an antibiotic, three times a day, Im going to go and bet it's amoxicillin. There are other possibilities but that is the best bet. That one you Do NOT have to take exactly every eight hours, so the above schedule would be OK. Actually no antibiotic as you described would have to be EXACTLY every 8, so dont worry! Just make sure you take them all!

Well, there are 24 hours in a day (8*3) What kind of medication is it? If it is an antibiotic or something..you are going to have to suffer and wake your self up to take your pills. If it is a pain med or something that is prescribed as needed, you can skip the dose and take it before you go to bed and when you get up in the morning and then somewhere in between.

At 8 am, 4 pm, and 12 am. You need to adjust your sleep hours so that your medication is effective and does not overlap, causing too much meds during part of the day and not enough in another part of day. Don't overdose by trying to squeeze 3 times a day into less than eight hours each.

If you want to get well you have to make some sacrifices. You may have to miss a little sleep. But it doesn't have to be exactly 8 hours one hour either way is fine, so you can take it from 7-9 hours apart. The whole reason for taking them every 8 is just to try and keep the drug in your system to fight your illness.

Train yourself to wake up two hours earlier so you can take them at 8, 4 and 12 (which is what I usually do when the dr prescribes an antibiotic to me)...otherwise you'll have to train yourself to take them at 10:30 am, 6:30 pm and 2:30 am.

the prescription doesn't 3 times a day for nothing. the schedule does not have to be exactly every 8 hours. On in the morning when you get up, one during mid day and one when you go to bed, sounds reasonable.

You really need to ask your doctor. There are some medications which if you miss taking them, you ought to double up on the next dose. And other medications where you NEVER want to double the dose. It depends on a lot of things, including the other medications you are taking, your dosage, etc.
Also, some drugs need to be taken with food, and others not. Your doctor needs to spend enough time with you to make sure you understand exactly what to do. I often ask my doctor to write out the instructions for me.

Take your first dose at 6:00 a.m.
Take your 2nd dose at 2:00 p.m.
Take your 3rd dose at 10:00 p.m.
If you need to set your alarm in order to take your medication on time, then please do so. Take all medication as prescribed by your doctor, if he/she says take it every 8 hours, then follow those instructions.
Your need to sleep such long hours concerns me. Have you discussed this with your doctor? If not, you need to. You could have any number of medical problems which need immediate attention. I wish you well.

24 hours / 3 = 8hours
It seems that you have a problem that only you can solve.
Sleeping 11 hours is an issue worthy of attention.
