My new Fisher & Pakel electric stove has a oddly burning smell when I turn on the stove to half heat.?

The burning smell is a bit like plastic or wire something, quite scary--what should I do? it is quite new, only 3 months old.

I would call the manufacture to find out if this is normal.
Best to take a few minutes and be safe, then to just leave it to chance

Any new appliance is going to have the smell of burning when it is new. My stove is about 6 months old and I still get that smell when I use trhe oven. It's kinda like when you get a new curling iron and it smells like it's burning when you use it at first.
