the military is different than the real world,they will re-up you if they need you there are condisitions for a general and it can be upgraded to honerable, then your in

There is an age limit for entering the service, and I'm sure it applies to returning servicemembers as well. When I was in the Air Force the age limit to join was 27. Or was it 29? That was a long time ago...but the answer is, I'm sure you would be able to reenlist as long as you're within the age limit, and are willing to take a cut in pay and rank. Most branches are still trying to get rid of members...go figure.
