Hi, an associates degree is the first degree you get its 60 credits which means less hours and a lesser degree. A masters degree is the 3rd degree (Bachelors being 2ND). Masters degree takes longer to obtain and is a better degree for a higher paying job.

Associates degree is about 2 years of school. It is the most basic. Masters degree takes about 6 years of school (4 years for a bachelors & then 2 more for a masters). A masters degree costs A LOT more tan getting an associates or bachlors degree. In the long run, it is worth it (if you have te paientence for it!)

At my school an Associates is under 70 credit hours and only two years of school. To get a Masters you have to have a Bachelors degree (that applies anywhere).

To be certified in some careers you need a masters degree, ex. to be eligible for the CPA exam, it is strongly recommended that you have one.
