My favorite was the first one that I ever bought - Seasons In The Sun, by Terry Jacks. The "B" side was, Put The Bone In, A song about a woman trying to get a bone from the butcher for her dog that had just been hit by a car. This 45 was the first of over 2000 that I ultimately accumulated.

Everyone who answers this is awesome! I wish I still had all my records and albums but they were water damaged. I spent a lot of childhood allowance on vinyl and I am glad to know I'm not the only one. I used to get 60's records at the Salvation Army in our small town plus the new ones at the store! Rad! My personal favorite single that I owned was "Money Changes Everything " that Cyndi Lauper covered. I think the B-side was a live version. My cousins and I used to gather our records and have lip synch contests!

YES! I'm only 22, but, i remember 45's, like, big time. For me, until i was old enough to get myself a CD Player, i was all old-school. Records for me was like crack lol. I remember everything from AC-DC to Black Sabbath...even deep purple and Alice Cooper.
BUT - the first one i got hooked on was Michael Jackson. He Had a 45 out with "Wanna Be Startin Somthin" on each side...i think one was the official version, and then one was the mono version - i'm not quite sure anymore.

I actually still listen to mine, have way too many I love to listen to to choose a favorite, but the first 45 I bought with my own money was Bob Lind, "Elusive Butterfly of Love" - I think "Cheryl's Going Home" was on the flip side. (I play all my vinyls - 45's and 33's - plus a few 78's and 16's - and have a working 8-track which I do listen to in my '71 442 cutlass convertible) Yes I listen to CD's as well, but it is nice to be able to pop a few albums on the turntable.

I remember and I miss them kinda! I couldn't pick a favorite, I had over 5300 of them at last count, before I gave them away, several years ago. I downloaded most of them to cd, time consuming but not difficult, because I had them all written down. Still it took me a couple of years to do.

"Tel Star", and I never ever played the other side. 45's were much more fun that CD's, in my opinion.
