i currently purchased a psp when i scan for an internet connection at my house i receive a linksys connection that requires a WPA key to access to the internet does anyone know how to find this key in order to connect to the internet.
if there is any good place to get a good connection for free in N.Y around the JACKSON HEIGHTS area with a psp please tell me, i've tried MCdonals connections but they are not free so any other place to get a good free psp connection please tell me doesn't matter if is somewhere around a library, office . i just need to know where i can get a good free connection for my PSP.

If you have a wireless router then you have to make sure that you get the WPA or WEP code from the router configuration/set up. Wireless routers are about $40 now. I have seen specials on buy.com for $20. Or you can try to find the elusive USB WiFi ports by Thrustmaster and you can set up any desktop or laptop computer as a Wireless Router/Hotspot.

What you are doing is call War Driving. Highly illegal and if you get caught will give you legal headaches. Just shell out the money and get your own DSL instead of stealing from your neighbors. Especially, if you are trying to crack their WPA password. You will really be up the creek. Verizon has a great DSL package.
Most wireless connections only travel maybe 30 feet. I know the city I live in just purchased a new wireless signal plan. This will allow people around the city to connect for free. This service will be coming to other cities soon but I am sure they probably have a code that will limit the amount of time you can surf.

Well w/ the 6100 you cannot get a connection, you would need the Westell Versalink or ActionTech modem from Verizon. Or you will need a router, if you have a linksys then call Verizon, (they support linksys routers) and they can help you get the wpa/wep key. Their number is 1-800-567-6789. If you do not have a linksys then get a router.
Alfred N, Verizon does NOT have a great dsl plan. I worked for them and they suck. Worst customer service in the world. Charging people incorrectley all the time. Horrid service
