Does he have a big test coming up?

Is there a cute baby girl rolling around and drooling near him?

In all seriousness, I hope everything's fine. I just hoped to make you smile while you're panicking. It's nice to take your mind off things for a second or two sometimes.

My oldest son (he's 6 now) was like this as a baby. We called him "Little Furnace"! The sweating is normal. When he's sleeping especially try to keep him in a tshirt or a onesie so he'll be cooler. Just be careful once it starts getting cooler. The sweating could cause him to become cold and get sick.

Good luck!

Have you every thought that your son could have extra sweat glands. The reason why I'm asking this is because my son has the same problem that your 12 day old son and my son is four years old. If he sleep with clothes on his sweats real bad if he just sleep in us underwear then he is fine. I make sure that your son just sleep in his diaper and make sure he has a fan in is room.

it's hot weather. do you have the baby in too much clothes? are you or the father heavy "sweaters". in this weather a undershirt and diapers are fine no socks and when it cools down in the eves just a onsie is fine, also don't put the fan on the baby either or turn up the air. Summer colds are not too nice for newborns. no cool cloths, they are easy to become sick and dont wrap him up. keep him cool dry and uncovered. No powder it will just chafe him

Try taking off a layer of clothes or blankets. The rule of thumb is to put one more layer on a newborn than you have on yourself. So if you're just wearing a tank top and shorts, give him a onesie and a lightweight blanket.

Is your home air conditioned? If not, get some fans going. Also, make sure to feed him on a schedule to avoid dehydration. If you're really concerned contact your pediatrician.

Wow... I had the same problem...first as always please verify all the information you get here with your baby's doctor, I had to get a standing fan for her..with her doctor's approval, however I did not let it blow directly on her, I just let it rotate, that really helped. Good luck and I hope this helps
