Einstein thinks he's so smart.
OK to travel at the speed of light & get around the weight problem you will need a ship powered by gravitons.
Said ship will be self fueled thanks to e=mc2 as it approaches warp1 as it will gain more & more mass which is immediately converted into energy and so on.
Eventually you will either break the speed of light or perhaps, given you will have infinite mass and a thickness of 0 (truly existing in a 2 dimensional realm) you will cause a big bang whereby the infinite mass converted to infinite energy reaches a critical point & destroys itself, your headlights & you with it. The energy will then dissipate back into matter (I cant remember which law of physics says matter/energy cant be destroyed) & "Hey Presto" you have an area of sky that may one day be known as the Brent Aldridge Universe.

Logically, they're right. Turn on the headlights, and the light would pool up in the bulbs, until it overflows and runs all over the place. What a mess!
In reality, however, light speed is a constant. It cannot change. Your lights would still shine ahead as usual. Regardless of your speed relative to any one particular point in space, the light would still be traveling as usual.

If you are traveling at the speed of light you would be pure energy and would not have cognitive abilities to turn on a light, nor would headlights be in tangible form. However for the sake of your question, I'll answer as if you could turn or your lights at that speed. Your headlights would become part of the light spectrum. I.E. = ROYGBIV

I am assuming you are not planning on doing the speed of light in a car, so these must be landing lights, or some other lights on a spaceship.

The light created by the bulbs in the lights will in fact be moving faster than the speed of light as the source will already be at that speed. However. since the vehicle is going at such a high rate of speed, the images of what you see will not be arriving in time to be processed. The speed of light reflecting off the things you would seeing is not accelerated, thus the lights will be unable to reflect back at you off of anything in enough time for the light to be received by your craft.

Short version, unless you plan your course carefully to avoid celestial objects, your lights will be useless because you will impact anything they would let you see long before you could actually see and avoid it.

If you were travelling at the speed of light, you wouldn't be able to turn your headlights on because your body would have ripped to pieces as would your car.

It's no joke when they say that nothing travels at the speed of light. You might get as close to it as you want, but not really at it. So if you turn on your light, there will be no way that you will catch up to it. As you speed up, you would be heavy as heck. So, since you can't travel at the speed of light, you will see the light. And you won't even notice the speed of light going slower, no matter what speed you are at. You would have to be light in order to travel at the speed of light and not see it. You are definitely not light, since you are so heavy anyways, :-)

The light travels at the same speed as you are travelling, so you wouldn't see any light in front of you.

You won't see the light in front of you beacause you are traveling at the same speed. It will seems like to you as if you didn't turn them on (I mean, even if you look straight at the light bulb)
