that's showing signs that he still cares about her more than he cares about you. He can't say that he is giving it to you because of love. He might think that you will find it romantic or that the guy is just too cheap, he can afford to buy another ring. It's not romantic, that's pathetic and sad, honestly. If he tried to give me that ring, I would probably call the wedding or engagement off. I would ask for another ring instead of someone else's hand me down ring. You only take it that way if it was his mother's or grandmother's ring, but not ex wife.

Id think he was a real cheapskate....tell him to pawn or sell the ring .. but you should definately have a new ring, new ring , new beginings, to me it would be a bad omen, obviously their marriage didnt work, so why would u want anything having to do with their wedding i your own wedding??? Tell him to ditch the ring and if nothing else atleast get a new setting for the diamond.. geeze..

I think and feel that using a wedding ring from a past marriage, is wrong, cheap and not appropriate for a second marriage.

I wouldn't accept my husband wanting to use the same ring he used with a previous wife, nor would I agree to wear a ring he had given to another.

I would not have married him if I had known from the beggining. You do not want to bring over any kind of old baggage like that form a defunct marriage. since it is a new marriage it requires a new start which means your own ring. Also, i would refuse to wear the ring he gave you until he buys you your own wedding ring that symbolizes YOUR marriage with him.....not his marriage with her!!!!

I wouldn't matter where the ring was previously. It's the love that matters, not the material possessions. So where the ring was is irrelavent, it's the LOVE the matters!!!!!

That is an insult. You deserve your own ring, not his ex's hand me downs.

If he pushed it into her, it would hurt. Do you mean he pushed it in and she passed it? Or has she passed on and he robbed a corpse? Either way, he doesn't sound like a nice guy.
If it was his, you'll have to buy him another one.
